What we have is this moment and all our past and future are in this moment.

Welcome to Being In Action. I have set up this network as a way to share experiences and for supporting each other. Your ideas and suggestions are important in the development of this site as we build a dynamic library of ideas and techniques for self discovery. This a place to find active ways for self growth, support and courses for self development.

If you are interested in the creative exploration of yourself, your relationships and your life using action as well as words, then you will value and enjoy working with action methods and the personal liberation, self expression and insight that they elicit.

Whether your focus is personal, professional, therapy or training e.g. job and relationship choices, conflict resolution, strategic planning, team building or training. Action methods enable participants to explore issues from different angles. If you would like to attend a retreat or personal development holiday please go to www.casadellanete.com

For some free exercises and techniques you need to be a member of this network, please sign in or sign up.

Thanks for stopping by and if you haven't signed up this time then please call again as more information will be posted regularly.

Full and new moon days = non yoga days.

The blog below is lifted entirely from:

http://www.ashtangayogacenter.com/moon.html

Both full and new moon days are observed as yoga holidays in the Ashtanga Yoga tradition. What is the reasoning behind this?

Like all things of a watery nature (human beings are about 70% water), we are affected by the phases of the moon. The phases of the moon are determined by the moon’s relative position to the sun. Full moons occur when they are in… Continue

The Body Has its Reasons foot exercise

The body has its reasons.
As you are aware I love to use the ball in much of my work. Here is a simple but very effective anti-exercise. Taken from Therese Bertherats book.
First prepare
Undo your clothing, everything that restrains your body. “Why no, my bra isn’t too tight. I’m used to it,” is a common remark, when actually the body is furrowed with deep marks.

Lie down flat on your back on the floor. Arms alongside the body, Palms turned toward the ceiling, feet falling where they will. Let… Continue

Our Furry Friends can help the value of Life

Just a small animal resting on your lap or by your side can light up your day or life. A wag of a tail, a deep purr the warmth of their bodies, the love and affection these animals can exude without prompting.

Just taking a stoke across their bodies and fondle the ears gives you a calming affect this helps to bring down the heart rate, and to alleviate stress. Being a therapy for us all especially the sick and lonely, building up an inner warmth in order to brighten up one's day.

The Journey by Larry Agresto

The Journey

Robert Frost once said “there is a time for departure, even when there is no certain place to go.” What he was referring to is the adventure of life, as it was meant to be lived. Life is a journey, not a destination. The challenge of living life as a journey, is that while we are on the journey, discovering and learning, we need to remember that as we journey through life, we must also learn to live in the moment. Yet, for many of us life is about power, control, survival, and the a… Continue
